Board of Directors

Our school society is legally incorporated in the Province of Ontario, with a Constitution and set of By-Laws. The ongoing affairs of the school are governed by a Board of Directors, comprised of 14 parents of current (or former) students and other stakeholders. Board members are elected for up to two consecutive three year terms.  Elections occur annually at either the Spring or Fall Membership Meeting.  Actions taken by the Board are approved on a semi-annual basis at the Spring and Fall Membership Meetings.

The Board of Directors operates in a consensual, democratic manner, and focuses on ensuring that the activities and programs of the school are properly aligned with the Purpose and Mission of the school.  The Board seeks to build on the best of the school’s tradition and history, concerning itself with the health and relevance of the school in the present, while ensuring the vitality of the school in the future.  The Board is intentional in its use of Committees, appointing them and giving them a mandate for as long as they serve a vital purpose.  Committee actions are reviewed regularly by the Board.
