Business Studies

The rationale for business studies in a Christian high school can be found in Genesis 1:26, 28 where God mandates people to work, develop, and manage the original creation. We are to carefully and responsibly take up the task of “transforming and building the economic and business culture of our world in keeping with the principles of God’s Kingdom.” (Calvin College)

Most students will find employment in the business world and learning about their calling to stewardship, service, and love is paramount.  The world of business undoubtedly changes culture more than any other area of life and learning to become morally responsible within institutions and our interaction with the natural environment is essential. Many of the concepts and information technology skills learned in business studies will train students to become informed, biblically discerning and responsible culture-shapers as consumers, investors, and employees.
